Scammers are posing as Uber drivers at airports and tricking passengers into getting into their cars.

In order to make their vehicles appear to be authentic, the con artists put counterfeit versions of the Uber emblem on stickers.

Once the victims are safely seated in the vehicle, the con artists demand immediate payment in cash for the journey.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has issued a warning that this con is occurring at airports all around the country.

Before getting into a car, verify the Uber app's license plate, driver photo, and car make and model to prevent becoming a victim.
